Collectible Fine Art Photography Montauk Point Lighthouse

Another one of my early fine art images of the lighthouse at Montauk Point, New York. Located east of the village of Montauk at the easternmost point of Long Island, construction of the Montauk Lighthouse was started in 1792. It is the fourth oldest active lighthouse in the United States and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. As you browse through the collectible fine art photographs here on my web site you’ll see that many of them were created in Montauk and in and around the Hamptons on Long Island’s South Fork. This image was captured from a vantage point within Camp Hero State Park, looking north towards the structure across Turtle Cove, a popular spot with east end surf fishermen and surfers alike. The photograph was taken with a tripod-mounted Nikon Digital SLR camera fitted with a 70-200mm Nikkor lens. Another view from this same vantage point was processed as a black and white image and has garnered awards from professional photography associations locally as well as internationally. Collectors of fine art photography, particularly collectors from the Hamptons, Montauk and the east end of Long Island have received my images enthusiastically. They are offered for aquisition through the various fine art galleries that offer my works and are also available artist-direct. This particular image was also offered through the Tulla Booth Fine Art Photography Gallery in Sag Harbor, New York for a period of time.
