It has been said that “…Men have been racing cars ever since they made the second one”. Like most men I have always held an interest in the high speed, high risk contests in professional motorsports. As an avid NASCAR fan I have attended Cup Series races at almost every venue in the United States. In the past I have been credentialed by NHRA to cover a number of their national events for a major magazine publishing group. I have been inside and outside the fence at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut to capture the racing machines of The Pirelli World Challenge and The IMSA WeatherTech Northeast Grand Prix. I have been credentialed at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to photograph the Superbikes of their Loudon Road Race series and at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) for the Championship Cup Series (CCS)as well as MotoAmerica, the premier motorcycle road racing series in the United States. What started as a hobby morphed into a personal project and became one of the biggest pursuits in my career as a professional photographer.
My long-standing interest in all things motorsports allowed me to develop an instinct for capturing the defining moments in speed contests. A thorough understanding, and in-depth practice, of the specific techniques used by motorsports photographers enabled me to capture dynamic images of the men, women and machines in competition. Furthermore my background as a conceptual portrait artist gave me the versatility to capture the personalities of the sport…not just the machines. This skill set came in very handy when putting together public relations materials, press releases; and in efforts to secure and maintain sponsorship for a number of race teams.
If you are a magazine or e-zine editor looking to add a fresh new set of eyes to your publication give me a call. If you are a race team owner looking for exciting new promotional or sponsorship materials give me a call. I have extensive experience at the race venues in the Northeast United States and I am still available for select motorsports assignments. I look forward to working with you.
