Sports Car Motorcycle Drag Racing Reporter Photographer.Hitting The Apex coming out of turn 11A on the road course at NHMS (New Hampshire Motor Speedway). As an independent contributor to various motorsports magazines and internet based news sites I am often asked to deliver, not just dynamic photographs, but sometimes to report on the event as well. No problem. I love to write. Certain events don’t require too much investigative work. I recently covered two national events in the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) Mello Yello Drag Race Series…the New England Nationals in Epping, NH and The Summernationals at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ. This sanctioning body (NHRA) makes it very easy on independent reporters. At every event there is a well equipped media center with helpful personnel to provide you with all the information you may need. At these two events I was on assignment for a couple of motorcycle publications. When I asked for updates on the Top Fuel Harley brackets they were provided instantly. Oft times the smaller publications and news outlets are only looking for the final results to publish alongside photographs of the winning entrants in action. Some times, because of my background as a commercial portrait photographer, I am asked to create conceptual portraits of individual racers, team members, sponsor executives and VIP guests in the team’s hospitality pavilion. Along with my photographs I may deliver an article (subject to professional editing, of course) about the event, an individual associated with the race, etc. A good representation of my body of motorsports photography can be seen here on my web site. In addition to the NHRA events mentioned above I have covered The Monster Energy Monster Jam, The Pirelli World Challenge (PWC), The IMSA WeatherTech Grand Prix, The Championship Cup Series (CCS) and MotoAmerica. My assignments are generally within a few hours drive of my Long Island, NY studio and I am available for assignments anywhere in the world. If you need photography with reportage for any upcoming event give me a call.
