Best Long Island LI Wedding Portraits
This is a near-perfect example of the kind of wedding portraits my clients ask me to make in this day and age. Outdoors...casual...fresh...candid...spontaneous...organic...fluid...natural...I can’t think of all the adjectives I’ve heard. The common thread is that today’s bride does not want stiff, formal portraits. The last thing she wants is to have her wedding album look like her mother’s wedding album! I’m told by my clients that I am the best at doing this style of photography and can’t help telling them that the reason for that is that I used to do the old fashioned style. Times have changed. Technology has changed the wedding photography industry. Film photography was expensive and wedding photographers used to constrain themselves to certain standard images that were expected of them. With the advent of digital imaging photographers have become free to explore...to try different things without worry about the cost factor. Well...digital wedding photography has been around for 15 years now and we’ve certainly learned a lot. My background in traditional portrait photography had given me the skill sets I needed as I transitioned into digital. My contemporary clients have given me the freedom and incentive to try fresh, new, exciting styles. I’ve fulfilled their wishes and then some. A lot of the newer photographers are still working on their basic fundamentals (or ignoring them completely). You can’t break the rules unless you’ve already played by them. Look for an experienced, seasoned, veteran photographer with a flair for the contemporary and you’ll find the perfect wedding photographer for your big day.
