Collectible Fine Art Photography Northport Harbor NYA quiet view from the municipal village dock in my hometown of Northport, New York. It is rare to see the harbor with just a single boat in it. In the summer months you can almost walk from boat to boat all the way across the harbor to Centerport. Northport harbor, in season, is home to literally hundreds of moored boats. To get this shot I visited the dock at dawn on a warm Christmas morning. Fog was rising off of the cold winter water and gave the whole scene a rather monochromatic black and white appearance. Only the flag at the back of the lone sailing yacht belies that appearance. I set my Nikon camera up on a tripod on the village dock to capture this serene scene. I have lived in Northport, NY for the better part of my life. I consider this quaint little Village my home town and can honestly say that this was the only time in over 30 years that I have seen the harbor with just a single boat in it. Like all of the other images seen here in the Fine Art section of this web site "Sequestered" is available for acquisition in assorted sizes directly from my studio or through any of the fine art photography galleries that offer my works.
